Additional information: Ruma County Museum is organized into several professional departments: the Department of Archaeological Collections, the Department of Ethnological Collections, the Department of Historical Collections, the Art Department, and the Documentation Department with a library. Each of these units preserves and processes valuable museum materials, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the cultural and historical heritage of the region.

In May 2024, Ruma County Museum opened its new permanent exhibition, which presents key objects from the museum’s collections through a contemporary curatorial approach. Upcoming projects aim to improve accessibility and comfort for visitors with special needs. We are also planning to develop a new 360° virtual tour showcasing the updated exhibition.

The Museum maintains active collaboration with numerous cultural institutions across Serbia, participating in joint projects and exchanges. Special attention is given to educational programs for preschool and school-age children, which include a variety of lectures, creative workshops, and interactive content.

The Museum’s program is diverse—besides the permanent exhibition, visitors can attend temporary exhibitions, lectures from various fields, documentary film screenings, book promotions and concerts, making the Museum a dynamic and welcoming place where culture, science, and community meet.
