  • In front of the museum there is a totem with accessible services for people with disabilities and didactic tools for workshops for children (book, puzzles, memory game, Android app…)

Accessible and inclusive programes

  • The tactile exhibition “Touch the Past” is intended for the visually impaired. The tactile exhibition consists of 19 tactile replicas of selected exhibits from the museum’s rich collections for the purpose of promotion, presentation and sustainable use of cultural heritage.
    The exhibition was opened on October 15, 2018, on International White Cane Day, and is part of the permanent exhibition of the National Museum in Leskovac.
  • The Smart Video Guide application in sign language is installed on tablet devices within the museum’s permanent exhibition. The application contains a story about the history of Leskovac in sign language supported by a text segment and photographs of the exhibits of the permanent exhibition.
  • The museum offers a permanent offer of museum workshops intended for children aged 7 to 15 years. There is a special section on the museum’s website about accessibility.
  • The Smart Video Guide application in sign language is installed on tablets as part of the museum’s permanent setting.
  • The interactive audio guide indicated the accessibility of the cultural heritage of the visually impaired by adapting the permanent museum’s exhibition to the blind people. The application contains an audio guide through the museum’s permanent exhibition, and also an audio guide through the tactile exhibition.
  • The museum organizes inclusive workshops for children with disabilities.
