Accessible and inclusive programes

  • The Accessible website of The Homeland Museum of Knjaževac with audio-video guides through the Museum’s facilities and depandans, in Serbian and English and with sign language interpretation, 360-degree virtual tour, tools for enlarging texts… The web site is created on the principles of the universal design, as well as applications available on touch screens on accessible info pints in the museum and on tablets. This site has a free to download application for Android/iOs smart devices. This content is dedicated to the widest audience.
  • “The Museum4All – Museum2Go” was the first structured program of the Homeland Museum dedicated to the people with disabilities. The program is based on the principle of “the museum in suitcase”. It has both tactile and didactic elements, and it provides sensory experience. It is consisted of selected objects, replicas and copies of museum objects followed by audio-visual materials, inscriptions and booklet in Braille, enlarged prints, tactile objects… It is supported by a webpage and free to download application in Serbian (Cyrillic and Alphabet) and English. It can be organized on demand, when scheduled, outside and in the museum. The project is supplemented by the interactive publications for children. It is dedicated to wide audience…
  • Our museum has several audio-video guides, with sign language interpretation and subtitles in Serbian and English language, through the artistic exhibitions available on-line, on the museum’s YouTube channel and also several educational programs for children with audio-video materials such as the Educational Adventure of the Homeland Museum of Knjaževac. There are also Android/iOs free to download applications: a guide through the old city of Knjaževac with the audio-video materials, sign language interpretation and augmented reality elements and a guide through the medieval church in Donja Kamenica.
